It may not be MobileMe 2.0, but Apple has applied another shot of elbow grease to its suite of Web services. Continuing MobileMe’s slow and steady trend this year, minor new features and fixes have been applied to almost every aspect of the service’s Web apps.

Detailed in this support doc, MobileMe Mail, Gallery, iDisk, Account, Back to My Mac, and Push services are all sporting small updates. Mail now displays an unread message count on the Inbox and every folder (but still not the toolbar icon as originally previewed at last year’s launch), and forwarding or replying to HTML (rich text) messages will maintain the original formatting instead of converting it to plain text. Gallery now allows iPhone 3GS users to publish videos to an album, and iDisk now displays a proper progress indicator when uploading to a Public folder with a browser.

In addition, Apple now allows more freedom for merging and keeping data when adding or deleting MobileMe accounts from iPhone and iPod touch. Also, speaking of merging, MobileMe accounts which have no upgrades applied to them can now be converted to Family Pack sub-accounts.

There’s a handful of other fixes and updates in this latest MobileMe Web app release, including new icons for iDisk and Account, so be sure to peruse the afore-linked support doc for the rest of the details. Note, however, that you may need to resume holding your breath, as that iDisk iPhone app that Apple promised on its MobileMe product page is still “coming soon.”

When it comes to cool gaming desktop accessories Cyber Snipa know how to make them, the photo shows a Gamepad v2, Stinger Laser gaming mouse and Tracer backlit mouse mat.

This setup will certainly help increase your frag count, CyberSnipa have delivered with this sweet setup, this is serious gaming business all round.

Tweak Town have given these CyberSnipa gaming gadgets a hands-on over 5 pages and in their final thoughts they said:

Mouse Mat and Final Thoughts – The Final part to this tri-force of gaming accessories is the mouse mat and Cyber Snipa has produced a rather colorful one at that.

Cyber Snipa PWNAGE Desktop – The micro-textured surface is inlayed on a clear Perspex frame with non-slip rubber feet underneath.

The trick with this is a USB cable snaking its way out the back that powers a set of blue LEDs that make the mat glow around the edges and generally look sweet.

Cyber Snipa PWNAGE Desktop – The LED brightness can be adjusted using an inline variable resistor that will dim the lights completely off.

The only bad thing I have to say about the mouse mat is that the USB cable is not detachable from the unit, so even if you don’t have a USB plug handy to plug it into, you still have a cable trailing over your desktop.

Cyber Snipa PWNAGE Desktop – Looking at the setup overall; I think Cyber Snipa are on to something good here. The dwarf keyboard is great for hardcore gamers and the mouse is a serious contender for anyone who needs a laser mouse. Coupled with a mouse mat that keeps the mouse gliding smooth, there’s no way you can lose, unless of course you’re like me and suck at games.

Read the 5 page hands-on review.

For those of you who have been waiting for a lightsaber game, you will be pleased to hear that we could be getting a step closer to it. Nintendo have now announced a new accessory for the Will called Wii Motionplus.

This new attachment which fits on to the bottom of the Wiimote allows for more accurate responses to the motion that the player makes. Nintndo say that this new attachment will do a better job of “reflecting motions in a 3-D space”.

According to Slippery Brick, the Wii Motionplus fits to the bottom of the controller and works in conjunction with the controller’s accelerometer and the Wii sensor bar, Nintendo say that with all three working together, the motion of the players hand and arm are true 1:1 response.

This is the kind of technology that is needed for many first person shooter games, as well as the long awaited lightsaber game that Wii fans are hoping for.

Although the standard Wii Remote does a great job when tracking your hand and arm movements, it can sometimes be a little shaky. The Wii Motionplus add-on improves the precision of those movements, this will be a great help to so many games.

At this moment there are no details on pricing or a release date.
